Following the Los Angeles Dodgers’ epic Game 7 World Series win against the Toronto Blue Jays, fans across the league have kept Alex Vesia and his wife, Kayla, in the forefront of their minds.
The Dodgers previously announced that Vesia was taking a leave of sorts after a “deeply personal family matter.” The team played all seven World Series games without the reliever.

Amid celebrations following the team’s come-from-behind win on Saturday, Nov. 1, dozens of fans took to X to prove that the Vesias are still very much in their hearts.
“Love my dodgers! They did it for Kershaw. Fernando Venezuela, and Alex and Kayla Vesia. I love this team,” one fan wrote on X.
“God bless the Vesia family,” someone else added.
“So happy Alex Vesia gets a ring. Praying for him and his family as they continue to handle such a challenging time,” sports anchor Dusty Baker said.
“I pray for you and your family #51. You and your family have contributed so much this year and we thank you! Believe in The Power of God! The city of LA stands behind you. May God give you the strength to overcome. You are a champion,” a fourth comment read.

Members of both the Dodgers and the Blue Jays honored Vesia by wearing his number (51) on their hats during a couple World Series games. While fans are still unsure about what happened to the Vesias, we know that they were expecting the birth of their first child, a baby girl, very soon.

Prior to Game 7, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke about Vesia and his words have fans fearing the worst.
“What he and Kayla have gone through, heartbreaking is not even a good enough descriptor,” Roberts said, according to Newsweek.
