Alex Rodriguez explains why the Dodgers are good for baseball

USA TODAY’s Ralphie Aversa chats with MLB legend Alex Rodriguez about the dominant nature of the Dodgers roster.

Sports Seriously

The Cincinnati Reds on Nov. 3 traded outfielder Ryan Vilade to the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations, the team announced.

Vilade appeared in one game for the Reds in 2025 after the club claimed claimed him off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals, where he started the 2025 season.

Vilade’s lone appearance was a June 27 game against San Diego, and he was optioned back to Triple-A Louisville on July 4. For the season, Vilade had one hit in 13 big league at-bats.

In 113 games at the Triple-A level in both the Reds and Cardinals organizations, Vilade, now 26, hit .296 in 65 games with the Louisville Bats and .280 in 48 games with the Memphis Redbirds. He has also played at different levels of the Rockies, Pirates and Tigers organizations.
