1973 – Astros take first place

After giving up a 7-0 lead to the San Francisco Giants, the Houston Astros still came away with a win after a solo-shot from Houston Astros outfielder Jim Wynn gave them the edge in what ended as an 8-7 win for Houston. This win allowed them to take over sole possession of first in the NL West.

1995 – The walk to victory

With the game tied 1-1 in the 10th inning, Montreal Expos pitcher Jeff Shaw walked in Astros infielder Craig Biggio to give Houston the 2-1 win.
