SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Major League Baseball has released the 2026 Spring Training schedules.
Sarasota/Baltimore Orioles
In Sarasota, the Baltimore Orioles’ exhibition season is set to begin Friday, Feb. 20 at Ed Smith Stadium against the New York Yankees.
The Orioles’ spring schedule features 17 home games, including nine home games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Pitchers and catchers participating in the 2026 World Baseball Classic are scheduled to report to Spring Training on Monday, February 9, while position players participating in the WBC will report on Thursday, February 12. The remaining pitchers and catchers will report on Wednesday, February 11, and position players on Monday, February 16.
On March 3, the Orioles will face Team Netherlands in an exhibition game at Ed Smith Stadium, with the WBC officially beginning on March 5.

Bradenton/Pittsburgh Pirates
The schedule includes a total of 31 games, 16 of which will be played at LECOM Park.
The Pirates will open up their 2026 spring schedule with a trip to Sarasota to take on Baltimore on Feb. 21. Pittsburgh’s home opener will be played on Feb. 22 vs. Tampa Bay.
Other highlights include March 17, when the Pirates will host Houston in Bradenton for the first time since 2016.
North Port/Atlanta Braves
The 2026 spring season will mark Atlanta’s seventh at CoolToday Park and will feature 16 home games at the facility. Atlanta’s 31-game exhibition slate will begin Saturday, Feb. 21, with a road game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The club will play its first spring home game the following day versus the Minnesota Twins.
Fans will be able to see nine different teams at CoolToday Park, including multiple games against the Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Tampa Bay Rays.
The club will also host an exhibition contest against Team Colombia on Wednesday, March 4, as it trains for the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
Port Charlotte/Tampa Bay Rays
The team will launch Grapefruit League play at their Port Charlotte, Fla., home against the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, Feb. 21.
The schedule features matchups against several Grapefruit League rivals, including four games against the Boston Red Sox, four against the Minnesota Twins, and five total meetings with the Atlanta Braves. The team will also host the New York Yankees on Tuesday, March 17.

Spring Breakout allows MLB teams to identify the players they think are most likely to become future stars and send those prospects to spring training camps in Florida and Arizona, with the goal of bringing more attention to the 120 minor league clubs that are scattered around the country.
The Pirates’ Spring Breakout will be against Detroit on March 20 at LECOM Park.The Orioles’ Spring Breakout game will take place against the Red Sox on Friday, March 20, at Ed Smith Stadium.The Braves’ Spring Breakout game is scheduled for March 21 against the New York Yankees at CoolToday Park.The Rays’ Spring Breakout Game is scheduled for March 19 at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie against the New York Mets Prospects.
