The Philadelphia Phillies have announced their 2026 Grapefruit League schedule.

Phillies Set for 2026 Grapefruit League

Grapefruit League baseball for the Phillies begins on Feb. 21 and runs through March 23. The schedule includes an exhibition game against Team Canada on March 4 and a Spring Breakout prospect game where Phillies prospects will face the Blue Jays prospects

In total, the Phillies will be playing 29 games across the schedule as a tune-up for the 2026 season, which begins at home, with its first game against the Texas Rangers at Citizens Bank Park (March 26).

Opening Game vs. Blue Jays

The defending NL East Champions will begin the 2026 season on February 21 when they face the AL Champion Toronto Blue Jays in Dunedin. They will have their Spring Training home opener on February 22 against the Pittsburgh Pirates at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, FL.

St. Patrick’s Day Tradition Continues

Among the Spring Training highlights is the annual St. Patrick’s Day game (March 17), where the Phillies will also host the Minnesota Twins.

Why Clearwater Spring Training is Worth the Trip

If you have never been to Spring Training, it’s something you have to do at least once. I have been going to Clearwater and Clearwater Beach for 20 years now, and love going down every season to see a few games.  You can even drive to nearby Dunedin to see the Phillies play the Blue Jays or over to Tampa to see them face the Yankees.  Both stadiums are about a 20 20-minute drive from BayCare Ballpark

I like to stay on Clearwater Beach and pick a game or two to check out, while enjoying the beach.  There are plenty of great places to stay, bars, restaurants, and places to check out while you are there.

I would recommend checking out Dunedin for a day, which is about 15 minutes from Clearwater Beach.  There are great breweries, shopping, and you can check out a Blue Jays game, or better yet, check out the Phillies in Dunedin on February 21 and 28.

Spring Training tickets go on sale Thursday, December 4.
