The Pittsburgh Pirates released their spring training schedule Wednesday for the 2026 Grapefruit League season.
It includes a total of 31 games, 16 of which will be played at LECOM Park in Bradenton, Florida.
The Pirates will open up with a trip to Sarasota to take on Baltimore on Feb. 21. Pittsburgh’s home opener will be played on Feb. 22 vs. Tampa Bay.
Additional highlights of the 2026 spring training schedule include:
n Feb. 23: The Pirates will host the New York Yankees.
n Feb. 28-March 1: The Pirates will make an overnight trip to Florida’s east coast for games against Houston (Feb. 28) and St. Louis (March 1).
n March 3: The Pirates will host Team Colombia in their fourth all-time matchup against a World Baseball Classic team.
n March 5: The Pirates will welcome St. Louis to Bradenton, marking their first time hosting the Cardinals for a spring training game since March 29, 1998.
n March 17: The Pirates will host Houston in Bradenton for the first time since March 6, 2016.
n March 23: The Pirates will host Atlanta at LECOM Park in the Grapefruit League finale.
In addition to the 31-game spring training schedule, Pittsburgh’s “Spring Breakout Game” will take place against Detroit on March 20 at LECOM Park.
