CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Eight former Cincinnati Reds players are on the ballot for the 2026 Reds Hall of Fame Modern Player class, the team’s Hall of Fame and Museum announced Thursday.

The ballot includes pitchers Homer Bailey, Francisco Cordero, Aaron Harang, Mike Leake and Edinson Volquez, along with shortstop Zack Cozart, second baseman Brandon Phillips and third baseman Scott Rolen.

Fans can vote once per day at RedsMuseum.org through Nov. 27, with results combining fan votes, media ballots and votes from Reds alumni. Only two players will be selected for induction into the Reds Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

“Once again, fans will have the chance to help select the next Hall of Fame inductee,” said Rick Walls, executive director of the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum. “We look forward to celebrating the winning candidates in April of next year during induction ceremonies at Great American Ball Park.”

The 2026 Induction Weekend Celebration, presented by PNC, is scheduled for April 24–26.

Among this year’s nominees:

Bailey, a first-round draft pick in 2004, threw no-hitters in 2012 and 2013 and ranks 12th in franchise history with 1,001 strikeouts.Cordero recorded 150 saves with the Reds, second-most in club history, and was a 2009 All-Star.Cozart, the team’s shortstop from 2011–2017, made the 2017 All-Star team and hit a career-high .297 that season.Harang led the National League in strikeouts in 2006, won 75 games with the Reds and was the team’s Opening Day starter five straight years.Leake made his MLB debut in 2010 without pitching in the minors and earned 62 wins in six seasons with Cincinnati.Phillips, one of the most decorated Reds of the modern era, was a three-time All-Star, four-time Gold Glove winner and the team’s all-time leader among second basemen in hits, doubles and RBIs.Rolen, a 2023 National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, was a two-time All-Star and Gold Glove winner with the Reds.Volquez was a 2008 All-Star who went 17–6 that season with a 3.21 ERA and 206 strikeouts.

Players qualify for the Modern Player Ballot if they played at least three seasons with the Reds, their final Major League season was between five and 15 years ago, and they were nominated by the Hall of Fame’s Election Governance Committee.

The Veterans Committee will also consider players whose careers ended more than 15 years ago, as well as former managers and executives. Results from both ballots will make up the Reds Hall of Fame Class of 2026, which will be announced in December 2025.

Since its establishment in 1958, the Reds Hall of Fame has honored 93 individuals who have made lasting contributions to the franchise.
