It will be Cardinals vs. Cardinals on March 23, 2026, when Double-A Springfield hosts its major league parent club St. Louis for an exhibition game at Hammons Field.

The game, with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch, figures to feature 2025 Gold Glove winner Masyn Winn, National League All-Star Brendan Donovan and Gold Glove finalist Victor Scott II. All of them are former Springfield Cardinals.

“Hosting our parent club here in the Ozarks is always special,” Springfield General Manager Dan Reiter said in a news release. “Our fans here are as loyal as they come, and to give them an opportunity to watch the big league club take on the defending Texas League champions in their own backyard is extremely exciting.”

This will be the fifth time in Springfield history that St. Louis visits Hammons Field. The teams played a pair of exhibition games in 2005 and 2008, and single games in 2012 and 2017.

Springfield expects ticket demand for Cards vs. Cards to be high and the team says the only way to guarantee your seat at this time is with a 2026 RED Access Membership. RED Access Members have until Dec. 1 to purchase their tickets. Information on group and single-game tickets, based on availability, will be made public at a later date.

Any remaining tickets for the game would go on sale closer to March 23. For more information, visit the Springfield Cardinals website, call (417) 863-0395 or email info@springfieldcardinals.com.
