SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Padres today announced their Cactus League schedule for 2026 Spring Training presented by Southwest Airlines®, the club’s 33rd spring in Peoria, Ariz.
The team’s spring schedule is comprised of 31 Cactus League games and one exhibition matchup, and is set to begin on Friday, February 20 against the Seattle Mariners at the Peoria Sports Complex with the first home game slated for Sunday, February 22 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Padres will play 17 Cactus League games next spring in Peoria with all but three of them as the home team. San Diego’s spring schedule features 17 games against American League opponents including the Athletics, Los Angeles Angels, Cleveland Guardians, Mariners, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox. The Friars will face National League foes 14 times featuring contests against the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs, Arizona Diamondbacks, Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds and Colorado Rockies.
The Padres will also host Team Great Britain in an exhibition game on Wednesday, March 4 in Peoria in preparation for the upcoming 2026 World Baseball Classic. Additionally, the top prospects from the Padres and Cubs will face off on Saturday, March 21 at Sloan Park in Mesa, Ariz. as part of MLB’s third annual Spring Breakout series.
San Diego will break camp following its Cactus League finale against the Mariners in Peoria as the home team on Monday, March 23. The Padres will open the 2026 regular season later that week against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday, March 26 at Petco Park.
Beginning Wednesday, November 19 at 9 a.m., Padres Season Ticket Members will have early access to purchase Spring Training tickets with all Padres email subscribers gaining presale access beginning Thursday, November 20 through Friday, November 21 at 9 p.m. PT. Additional information will be communicated via email prior to the presales. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, December 8.
