The Arizona Fall League’s Fall Stars game will take place on Sunday night at 8pm ET and you can watch it on MLB Network or MLB.com. On Thursday they announced the rosters for the National League and American League teams that will be participating. The Fall Stars game isn’t quite an “All-Star” game in the sense that everyone is selected based on their performance in the league. It’s more of a “showcase” kind of game. As for the Cincinnati Reds – they will have four players on the National League team, but one of those prospects will not be playing.

Rhett Lowder, who missed all of the 2025 season with several injuries, was named to the team but won’t be taking the mound in the game.  In what’s essentially a rehab stint for Lowder, he’s pitched in four games and thrown 9.0 innings for Peoria while giving up five runs on nine hits, a walk, two hit batters, and he’s struck out eight of the 38 hitters that he’s faced.

Lowder was the only pitcher from the organization that was named to the team. All three of Cincinnati’s position players out in Arizona were named to the National League team.

Infielder Leo Balcazar has played in 21 games for the Javelinas and entered the day leading the league with 26 hits. While playing shortstop, second base, and third base, Balcazar has hit .310/.370/.381 with six doubles and he’s gone 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts.

Cam Collier has seen time at first and third base in his 19 games with Peoria this fall. The 20-year-old has hit .224, but he’s also walked 15 times to help boost his on-base percentage to .381 despite the low average. He hit for power early on but has cooled down a bit since and has a .328 slugging percentage with his four doubles and one home run.

Alfredo Duno has split time between catcher and designated hitter. Peoria’s only teenager, Duno has struggle to hit in his 13 games after winning the Florida State League’s MVP while playing for Daytona in 2025. He’s just 7-41 (.171) with one double (.195 slugging percentage. Like Collier, he’s walked plenty. With 10 walks he’s got a .327 on-base percentage through 52 trips to the plate.

Cincinnati picked up some minor league catching depth this week with the signing of Ian Francis. After spending three years at Youngstown State he transferred to Kansas in 2025 where he played in 54 games and hit .247/.372/.420. He played in the MLB Draft League for Mahoning Valley over the summer and hit .265/.385/.343, but he went undrafted. You can see his college and summer league stats here.
