The Tampa Bay Rays announced they claimed former Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jake Fraley off waivers from the Atlanta Braves.
Fraley, a second-round pick of the Rays in the 2016 MLB draft, was batting .232 with six homers when he was designated for assignment by the Reds in August. He was claimed off waivers by the Braves two days later.
Fraley batted .260 with 38 homers and 49 stolen bases over parts of four seasons for the Reds. The Reds acquired him from Seattle in March 2022 with player to be named later Connor Phillips, Justin Dunn and Brandon Williamson for Eugenio Suarez and Jesse Winker.
Fraley hit a grand slam for the Reds against the Mariners in April.
On Nov. 3, the Rays acquired outfielder Ryan Vilade from the Reds for cash considerations.
