The 29-year-old LA Dodgers pitcher completely missed the roster for the entire series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Dodgers went on to win the encounter 4-3 and they held a victory parade on Monday, to which Alex was still absent for.

Little else has been revealed about the ‘deeply personal family matter’ causing Vesia’s absence.

But his teammates have paid tribute to him, writing Vesia’s jersey No. 51 on their hats ahead of game three.

Who is Kayla Vesia?

Kayla is a 29-year-old TikTok personality who is best known for her content on her personal life and fashion.

Her latest TikTok, expressing excitement for the World Series that her husband was due to play in, has gathered over six million views following the news about the couple’s family emergency.

She has gathered around 115,000 followers on the platform as well as 70,000 on Instagram.

It’s on her Instagram page where she revealed that she attended Minot State University, a college in Minot, N.D., where she graduated in 2018.

During her time at college she was a student athlete, but sustained an injury which made her miss the end of her final year.

How did the couple meet?

The couple met after Alex originally messaged Kayla on Instagram, and they then started dating in 2019.

As per Kayla’s Instagram, their first date was at a dessert shop before following that up with a date at Supercross, an indoor dirt bike racing competition.

They began dating in April of 2019 and after three years, Alex asked Kayla to marry him.

Do they have children?

After just over a year of marriage, in April the couple announced they would be welcoming a baby girl into the world.

This would be their first child together after being a couple for six years.

They have been frequently documenting on their social media pages during the exciting time.

However, neither has shared any post or update since October 18, coinciding with Alex’s absence from baseball.
