Former Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello was hired as San Francisco’s manager in MLB on Oct. 22. He was introduced as the Giants’ 40th manager in franchise history on Oct. 30.

San Francisco’s 2026 spring training schedule was announced Wednesday. The Giants will open spring training under Vitello on Feb. 21, 2026 against Seattle at Peoria Stadium in Peoria, Arizona.

San Francisco’s first home game is scheduled for Feb. 22, 2026 versus the Cubs at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Giants are scheduled to play 33 games during spring training, including one contest versus Team USA on March 3, 2026 at Scottsdale Stadium.

San Francisco will have three split-squad games on March 7, 2026 versus Texas and at Arizona, March 13, 2026 home and away against Cincinnati and March 20, 2026 versus Kansas City and at Texas.

The Giants will face their Triple-A affiliate in a road contest at Sacramento on March 22. San Francisco will conclude spring training with two exhibition games versus Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California March 23-24.

The 2026 MLB regular season will open with Vitello and the Giants. San Francisco will host the Yankees on March 25, 2026 at Oracle Park.
