Made Group Construction reacts to the decision of the Shareholders’ Committee of the Public Housing Enterprise due to the cancellation of the contract for the commercial-residential project in Lakrishte.

Full reaction:

We have been informed through the media that the Shareholders’ Committee of the Public Housing Enterprise, today has taken a decision to cancel the contract with the consortium led by Made Group Construction for the construction of the commercial and residential project in Lakrishte. The consortium announced that the contract signed as a notarial deed cannot be canceled by any internal body of the Public Housing Enterprise, since only the court in Kosovo has this competence. On the other hand, as for the termination, it cannot be done unilaterally because it must be subject to the same procedure on which it was concluded, so it must be done with another notarial deed.

Made Group Construction reminds the Shareholders’ Assembly and the general public that this contract has been challenged twice so far in the courts of Kosovo and in both cases the courts have not found any element to decide in favor of the plaintiffs. Therefore, the justification for the cancellation of this contract is not only illegal but also based on incorrect reasoning and apparently politically motivated. Made Group Construction has not been subjected to any kind of pressure or blackmail tendency in relation to this project and will not be subjected to any in the future. We have a contract in force which we request to be implemented, or in case of its failure, to pay the penalties contracted according to the agreement of the parties to this contract.

The Made Group Construction company reminds the public that although we had the opportunity to send the case to the arbitration tribunal for compensation for damages due to the obstacles caused by the new board of the enterprise, we have not done so, trying at all costs to implement the contract in force as a true partner of the Enterprise.
