Jakob Marsee didn’t need much time to make an impact for the Miami Marlins, or make his presence felt across Major League Baseball.

The Allen Park and Central Michigan product made his major-league debut on Aug. 1 and didn’t look back, hitting .352 in August and .292 over 55 games for the Marlins. It’s a smaller sample size, but large enough to earn a spot on MLB Pipeline’s All-Rookie Team for the 2025 season, unveiled Sunday.

” … (Marsee) came flying out of the gate, producing a .352/.430/.629 slash line, 18 extra-base hits and nine steals in 30 games (in August),” MLB Pipeline’s Sam Dykstra writes. “He finished the season hitting .292/.363/.478 with five homers and 14 steals in 55 games while grading out well for his range and arm strength in center field. That well-rounded performance helped him earn the final outfield spot on this squad.”

Marsee was a sixth-round draft pick out of CMU by the San Diego Padres, with a May 2024 trade sending him to the Marlins. He spent most of this season in Triple-A Jacksonville, where he was hitting .246 with 14 home runs, 37 RBIs, 47 stolen bases and an .817 OPS in 98 games before getting called up.

In his 55-game stint with the Marlins, the 24-year-old Marsee nearly matched his RBI total (33) in 43 fewer games, and finished with an .842 OPS.
