The MLB season may be over, but there are growing concerns amongst one team that they could be losing their ace pitcher in the near future as his stock continues to rise and the Pittsburgh Pirates struggle to stay relevant in a competitive league.

Paul Skenes burst onto the MLB scene a season ago, and has quickly developed into one of the sport’s elite pitchers, but his time in Pittsburgh could be short according to reports that suggest he already knows which franchise he wants to play for next.

NJ.com reporter Randy Miller revealed Wednesday that Skenes is already telling his Pirates teammates that he wants to move to the New York Yankees and the ace supposedly has the support of his Pittsburgh clubhouse due to how poor the franchise has been over the years.

This past season, the Pirates had just 71 wins in the NL Central and posted the third-worst record in the National League despite the fact that Skenes put up an astounding 1.97 ERA and 216 strikeouts.

Skenes has been in the limelight for years now not only because of his on-field prowess but also for dating social media sensation and former LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne. The influencer even alleged over the summer that she was looking at an apartment in New York City that was previously owned by Yankees legend Babe Ruth but was denied the chance to purchase it.
