I think many of the most biased Phillies fans knew that Cristopher Sánchez probably wasn’t going to win the National League Cy Young award this year. That’s not to say he wasn’t deserving, as he fully emerged as one of the best pitchers in the sport and the ace of the Phillies staff in Zack Wheeler’s stead. Sánchez will unfortunately just have to join Wheeler in the runners up club.
