Tyler Stephenson on Reds; loss vs. Dodgers in NL playoffs
Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson talks about Reds’ loss to Dodgers
Pairings for the MLB Open golf tournament include two representatives of each MLB team, and the Reds will be represented by former players Todd Frazier and Mike Moustakas.
Frazier was drafted by the Reds and played for Cincinnati from 2011 to 2015, batting .257 with 108 home runs. He was an All-Star with the Reds in 2014 and 2015, and he won the 2015 MLB home run derby representing Cincinnati, which hosted the All-Star Game that year.
Moustakas signed a four-year, $64 million deal with the Reds as a free agent in Dec. 2019, after an All-Star season with the Milwaukee Brewers. In 654 plate appearances over three seasons for the Reds, he hit .216 with 21 homers and 74 RBIs.
Earlier in his career, Moustakas played eight seasons and was a two-time All-Star for the Kansas City Royals.
Sixty current and former big-leaguers representing all 30 clubs are scheduled to participate in the event at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.
