Brewers’ Matt Arnold becomes first to win MLB Executive of the Year Award twice

To say the Milwaukee Brewers have good leadership would be an understatement. Just days after Brewers manager Pat Murphy took home his second National League Manager of the Year award, newly promoted President of Baseball Operations Matt Arnold was named the 2025 MLB Executive of the Year Award winner on Nov. 13.Arnold becomes the first executive to win the award twice. He also won the award a year ago. The Executive of the Year Award began in 2018. It’s voted on by executives from all 30 clubs at the start of the postseason.Arnold constructed the 2025 Brewers roster, which ended up setting a franchise record in regular-season wins, 97, and finished with the best regular-season record in baseball this year.Some of the notable transactions made by Arnold this year include acquiring Andrew Vaughn from the Chicago White Sox for Aaron Civale, trading former Brewers closer Devin Williams to the New York Yankees for Caleb Durbin and trading for Quinn Priester from the Boston Red Sox early in the season. Durbin went on to finish third in the 2025 National League Rookie of the Year voting. Vaughn recorded a .868 OPS with the Brewers this season and helped them advance to the National League Championship Series.
