Six-time Gold Glove winner JT Snow has been named the first manager of Modesto’s new professional baseball team as the city prepares for its inaugural 2026 season.
MODESTO, Calif. — The Modesto Glow Riders have named former Major League Baseball standout JT Snow as the team’s first manager ahead of their 2026 inaugural season, the Modesto Baseball Club announced.
Snow, a six-time Gold Glove winner and longtime defensive standout at first base, will lead the team into its inaugural 2026 season.
The former San Francisco Giant brings 16 years of MLB experience, including time with the Giants, Angels and Yankees.
During his career, Snow collected more than 1,500 hits and topped 100 home runs. He was part of the 2002 National League Champion Giants and is widely regarded as one of the league’s most elite defensive first basemen.
Snow also has deep Northern California baseball ties, which the club noted as a key asset as it builds the new franchise.
“Modesto deserves great baseball, and I’m honored to help build that from day one,” Snow said in the announcement. “We’re going to play hard, play smart, and represent this city the right way.”
The Modesto Baseball Club also thanked its “proud partners” for supporting the city’s return to professional baseball.
