The WPIAL baseball semifinals in the Beaver Valley began with Central Valley playing for a spot in the WPIAL Class 4A championship game before the rest of the area teams competed on May 21. Here is how Central Valley faired in its semifinal tilt.

Coming off a wild 11-inning victory over No. 2 West Mifflin, Central Valley fought hard but fell in the WPIAL semifinals to Elizabeth Forward. The team was held to just four hits with the bottom of the order combining for three knocks. Jackson Christopher pitched the opening four frames for Central Valley allowing four runs while striking out two. The team will now move onto the WPIAL Class 4A consolation round as it will look to qualify for the state playoffs.
