There is growing “worry” about Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper.

Harper, 33, sparked concern on social media, when footage of his offseason look surfaced online. The former Washington Nationals star, who signed with the Phillies in free agency ahead of the 2019 season, is going viral for his offseason look. Harper appears to have slimmed down, while also rocking a mustache.

“Bryce Harper showing what repeated NLDS exits does to a man,” one fan wrote on social media.

The offseason photo of the Philadelphia Phillies first baseman has been viewed millions of times on X and Instagram.

MLB fans are hoping that everything is OK with Harper, who has dealt with injuries in recent years.

“Don’t typically double down but seeing Bryce Harper now vs. spring training 2024 is frying me,” one fan wrote.

“Bryce Harper looks like if you tried to draw Aaron Rodgers from memory,” one fan added.

“Looks like he signs $300 million contracts just to not perform….” one fan wrote.

“His face looks thin,” another fan added.

Harper’s already had an eventful offseason

Phillies’ GM Dave Dombrowski said this offseason that Harper is clearly “a quality player” but added that it remains to be seen if he will “become elite or he continues to be good.”

Harper was admittedly hurt by the comments.

“I have given my all to Philly from the start,” Harper told The Athletic on Saturday. “Now there is trade talk? I made every effort to avoid this. It’s all I heard in D.C. [with the Nationals]. I hated it. It makes me feel uncomfortable.”

Harper is coming off a solid-but-not-spectacular year, in which he had an OPS of .844, his lowest since 2016.

“It’s disappointing to hear me being questioned about my contribution to the team,” Harper told The Athletic. “Just really hurt by that notion because I love Philly so much.

“From changing positions to coming back early from injury, I show total commitment for my team. And yet there is still trade talk.”
