Mike Gambino and Penn State baseball are heading back to the Caribbean.

On Monday night, it was revealed on X that Penn State baseball will head to the Bahamas to open the 2026 season against Indiana State in a three-game set that will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 27.

The series will take place at Andre Rogers National Baseball Stadium in Nassau and will be the first-ever Division I games held in the Bahamas. Penn State opened the 2025 season with a February series in Puerto Rico and will be just the second time the team plays a regular-season contest outside the United States.

Indiana State went 24-31 in the 2025 season, including a 12-15 record in MVC play. The Sycamores went 2-4 in six matchups with Big Ten opponents in non-conference play, including an extra-innings victory at Purdue in April.

The two teams are tied 2-2 in the all-time series, last playing on March 7, 2001, when the Sycamores defeated the Nittany Lions 7-3 in College Station, Texas. The last Penn State victory in the series came on March 7, 1994, in another neutral-site contest in Austin, Texas.
