KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Wednesday morning, the Kansas City Royals announced its home game times for its 2026 Spring Training season, as the team looks ahead to its 24th year in the Cactus League.

The 32-game exhibition will begin on Friday, Feb. 20, at 2:05 p.m., as the Royals take on the Texas Rangers at Surprise Stadium.

Kansas City is scheduled to play 15 games at Surprise Stadium throughout the Spring Training season, as well as two games as the visiting team against the Rangers. These games are scheduled for Feb. 20 and March 18.

The team said that seven of its first eight home games will start at 2:05 p.m. However, after Daylight Saving Time returns, Kansas City will go back to its normal game time, which is traditionally 3:05 p.m.

The 2026 schedule also includes three night games. These games are as follows:

Thursday, March 5, at 7:05 p.m. — v.s. Texas Rangers

Friday, March 13, at 8:05 p.m. — v.s. Arizona Diamondbacks

Tuesday, March 17, at 8:05 p.m. — v.s. Los Angeles Dodgers

There are two split-squad dates — on Wednesday, March 11, and Thursday, March 19 — where the Royals will field a pair of teams and play two games. Both home games on those dates will begin at 3:05 p.m.

Out of the 33 days in the Spring Training schedule, the Royals will play 32 games, including 29 Cactus League games.

The other three games will include an exhibition against Team Cuba at 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, at Surprise Stadium, as well as two games against the Texas Rangers on Monday, March 23 and 24, at Globe Life Field.

Kansas City will play its final Cactus League game on Saturday, March 21, against Colorado at 2:05 p.m. Following this exhibition, the team will have an off day on Sunday, March 22, before playing in Arlington, Texas.

Dates for the 2026 Spring Training schedule were announced earlier this month, and, according to the local MLB franchise, game times are still subject to change.

The Royals play their regular season opener on Thursday, March 26, at Truist Park against the Atlanta Braves. Their home opener will be on Monday, March 30, v.s. the Minnesota Twins.
