This season the Field of Dreams game is back and the Minnesota Twins will be playing in it. We have known that for some time, but the particulars around the event had yet to be revealed.
The last time Major League Baseball played a game in Dyersville, Iowa was 2022. The stadium is no longer there, and a temporary field will need to be erected. This time around the site will host the Philadelphia Phillies and the Twins. They aren’t the only teams playing there either.
August brings Twins and Phillies to Iowa
The 2026 Minnesota Twins regular season schedule has been known since this summer. The exact date for the MLB Field of Dreams game had yet to be revealed until Wednesday. We now know it will take place on August 13, 2026.

The Baltimore Orioles are in town to start the week of August 10th, and the Twins will then head south to Iowa on the 13th. An off day follows so the two teams can head back to Minneapolis and wrap up their three-game set over the weekend.
Minnesota went to Philadelphia in 2025 and dropped the series two games to one. The Phillies will once again be a formidable opponent as they attempt to make another run at the World Series. How the Twins roster shakes out remains to be seen.
Saints marching to Iowa as well
It’s not just the major league team that will be playing at the Field of Dreams movie site. The Minnesota Twins Triple-A affiliate is headed to Dyersville as well. The St. Paul Saints will square off against the Iowa Cubs.

This is an incredible opportunity for our organization and we’re thankful to Major League Baseball, the Minnesota Twins, the Field of Dreams filming location, the City of Dyersville, and everyone else involved that they asked us to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime game. To share the field with the Iowa Cubs, a team we’ve played more times than any other in the International League since we became the Twins affiliate in 2021, makes this perfect. We look forward to putting on an incredible show for baseball fans around the country.

The Saints will play the Iowa Cubs on August 11th at 7pm. The Minnesota Twins High-A affiliate Cedar Rapids took on the Quad City River Bandits back in 2022 when the Field of Dreams site was last used.
