KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Spring Training will be here before Royals fans know it. On Wednesday, the Kansas City Royals announced home game times for their exhibition schedule in 2026.
The Royals and Texas Rangers, who share Surprise Stadium, announced game times for the 15 homes games at the stadium and two played as visitors against the Rangers.
Seven of the Royals’ first eight home games will begin at 2:05 p.m. CT. Starting on Sunday, March 8 when Daylight Saving Time begins, the normal start time will move to 3:05 p.m. CT.
The Royals will host three nighttime games in Cactus League play. Thursday, March 5, they will host the Rangers at 7:05 p.m. CT.
Again, the next two night games will come post-Daylight Saving Time, meaning the Friday, March 13 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Tuesday, March 17 game against the Los Angeles Dodgers will each be played at 8:05 p.m. CT.
On Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 19 the Royals will play split-squad games. Both of the home games those days will begin at 3:05 p.m. CT.
Kansas City’s Spring Training schedule includes 32 games in 33 days, and a Saturday, March 21 finale against the Colorado Rockies at 2:05 p.m. CT.
Spring Training play will lead the Royals into a Thursday, March 26 Opening Day game in Atlanta against the Braves.
