Wednesday, Major League Baseball announced it is once again holding a signature event at the field constructed next to the iconic “Field of Dreams” movie site in the northeast Iowa town of Dyersville. The Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies will play each other there on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026. The game will be streamed on Netflix.On Aug. 11, 2026, the Iowa Cubs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, will host the St. Paul Saints, the Triple-A affiliate of the Twins. This will mark the second Minor League Baseball game played in Dyersville, as the Midwest League’s Cedar Rapids Kernels (Twins’ High-A affiliate) played the Quad Cities River Bandits (Kansas City Royals’ High-A affiliate) in Dyersville on Aug. 9, 2022.MLB’s first games at the magical site were in 2021 and 2022. Both were unforgettable nights and ratings home runs. The White Sox-Yankees thriller on Aug. 12, 2021, was the sport’s most-watched regular-season game on any network in 16 years. Following the Reds-Cubs game in 2022, the site underwent major renovations, and MLB held signature events at other venues. Now, after a three-year hiatus, the game is headed back to the Heartland.Commissioner of Baseball Robert D.
