WILLIAMSPORT — The annual MLB/Little League Baseball Classic scheduled next Aug. 23 during the Little League World Series will feature the Atlanta Braves vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.
The game at Williamsport’s Historic Bowman Field, which will mark its 100th year in 2026, will continue to be broadcast by ESPN, which carries the Little League series.
That despite the network giving up its rights for the Sunday night games for the rest of next season, which will air on NBC.
As has become tradition, the major league players will visit the world series in South Williamsport that afternoon. The 20 Little League teams will be invited as guests to the 7 p.m. Braves-Brewers contest.
Information about the Little League Classic was included on Wednesday when Major League Baseball (MLB) announced its new TV rights packages.
MLB launched the Little League Classic in 2017 with the Pittsburgh Pirates playing the St. Louis Cardinals.
The New York Mets defeated the Seattle Mariners, 7-3. Neither the Braves nor the Brewers has played in the game in the past.
The 2026 Little League World Series, in which 10 U.S. and 10 international teams will vie for the world title, will be played Aug. 19–30.
