1965 – Kibler did it again

Just two days after ejecting Colt .45s manager Luman Harris, umpire John Kibler ejects Bob Aspromonte after arguing a play at third base. This led to the Astrodome’s scoreboard operator flashing the words “KIBLER DID IT AGAIN” on the jumbotron. An apology was later issued by the players and operator to the umpires.

1997 – Baggie makes them pay

After a bases-empty, intentional walk to Houston Astros slugger Jeff Bagwell, his third walk of the game, in the 14th inning of a game against the Cincinnati Reds, Bagwell immediately makes them pay for it. After stealing second, an RBI-single brought him in for the winning run, giving Houston a 4-3 win.

2010 – Oswalt wants out

After a 15-27 start to the season, Astros ace Roy Oswalt, who at the time had a 2-6 record with a 2.66 ERA, requested a trade. On the same day, the Astros managed to go out and beat the MLB’s best team in the Tampa Bay Rays, winning 2-1.
