Dyersville, Iowa, is well known as the home of the “Field of Dreams” movie site, but the small town has more to offer to visitors.
For the first time in four years, two Major League Baseball teams will play against each other at one of Iowa’s most iconic landmarks: The Field of Dreams Movie Site.
The MLB announced on Wednesday, Nov. 19, that the third-ever “MLB at Field of Dreams” game will be returning to Dyersville. The MLB previously played two regular-season games there in 2021 and 2022.
Renovations to the site prevented a game from being held in 2023. In 2024 and 2025, the MLB chose to host its special event games at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama and Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, respectively.

The American League’s Minnesota Twins and the National League’s Philadelphia Phillies are the latest teams to face off on the baseball diamond in the middle of an Iowa cornfield.
The Twins finished 70-92 in 2025 (fourth in the AL Central) and posted the second-worst record in their league. The Phillies, 96-66, posted their third straight 90-plus win season and finished as NL East champions before losing to eventual World Series champions Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series.
For the second time since 2021, a Minor League Baseball game will serve as the precursor for the MLB game at the Field of Dreams.
On Aug. 11, 2026, the Iowa Cubs will play the St. Paul Saints, the Triple-A affiliate of the Twins. The first MiLB game played at the Field of Dreams Movie Site was held in 2022 when the Cedar Rapids Kernels lost 7-2 to the Quad Cities River Bandits.

The game will be streamed exclusively on Netflix. Broadcast details, including who will call the game and when it will air live, have not been released.
