The San Francisco Giants have a very talented roster, but they’re still multiple steps behind the incredible Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Giants need to make a big move or two in the coming months if they want to close the gap between the two teams. With so much talent in free agency, the Giants could make a blockbuster signing or two that would help boost them up the standings.
ClutchPoints’ Bailey Bassett recently predicted Chicago Cubs slugger Kyle Tucker would sign a massive 10-year, $390 million deal and suggested the Giants would be the top landing spot for the slugger.

“Kyle Tucker is the best free agent this offseason. There are a number of teams in need of outfield help. The Los Angeles Dodgers, for example, could use a left fielder, and they’ve proven in recent offseasons that they are willing to spend for their needs,” Bassett wrote. “At some point, though, the Dodgers can’t get every free agent, so it is possible the San Francisco Giants will be the team that gives Tucker a big contract. The team made a blockbuster move for Rafael Devers in the trade market. Now it is time to make an aggressive free agent play.”
Signing Tucker would be a huge move for the Giants, especially considering the fact that the Dodgers are expected to be one of the top suitors for the slugger, too.
The money could become a problem, as there aren’t many teams in the league that are willing to pay nearly $400 million for a player. But the Giants might be desperate enough to add another superstar to their lineup.
