The Milwaukee Brewers will take part in the 2026 MLB Little League Classic, facing the Atlanta Braves on August 23 during the Little League World Series. Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger joined Wisconsin’s Midday News to talk about what the event means for the organization.

Schlesinger said the Brewers have been eager to participate and were long overdue for selection. Players will fly into Williamsport the morning of the game, attend a Little League matchup, meet the kids and families, and then take the field that evening at historic Bowman Field. The venue seats only about 2,500 people, and every seat is reserved for Little Leaguers and their families.

Fans in Milwaukee will not be able to attend the game in person, but Schlesinger hinted that the team plans to roll out related promotions locally. He also addressed MLB’s expanding list of broadcast platforms and said fans have adapted well as viewing options continue to grow.

The 2026 Classic will give Little Leaguers a rare chance to interact with Major League players and adds a special milestone to the Brewers’ upcoming seasons.
