From 2019-24, pitcher Noah Murdock knew only one franchise as he patiently climbed the ranks of the Kansas City Royals‘ system.

Thursday, Murdock announced he was joining his third different organization in less than a year.

“Very excited to sign with the Pittsburgh Pirates for the 2026 season,” Murdock wrote Thursday on his Twitter/X account. “Grateful to feel healthy and absolutely ready to go and to be with a new organization!”

Murdock, 28, became a free agent after finishing the 2025 season on the injured list with the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Royals’ Triple-A affiliate. According to his MLB.com page, Murdock received a minor league deal from Pittsburgh.
