Short answer is NO and they should not. First of all, they NEVER pay the money to get a true top shelf player, they usually go for third or fourth best and get burned: See Bell, Heath, 2012. Secondly they don’t NEED to. They have a decent closers already in Ronny Henriquez and Bender if he’s healthy. If anything they should look around for good set up men so we never see the likes of Josh Simpson or Zuber ever again. But we all know that the Marlins HAVE TO SPEND SOME MONEY to make it look like Sherman isn’t  just taking the Luxury Tax money and pocketing it. So we go through this yearly charade where the Marlins PRETEND to be serious players in Free Agency and Fish Stripes helps them by writing articles like this when everyone knows it’s all BS.
