Carter Holton and Justin Thomas Jr. return home to host fall baseball camp
Former Benedictine baseball stars return for camp, sharing pro experience and giving back to the community

Carter Holton and Justin Thomas Jr., who rose from high school stars in Savannah to the collegiate ranks and now professional baseball, will host a fall camp this Saturday for youth players in 4th through 8th grade.Holton, a left-handed pitcher who went on to a standout career at Vanderbilt, was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the second round of the 2024 MLB Draft. Thomas Jr., an outfielder who began his college career at Georgia before transferring to Arkansas, helped the Razorbacks reach the College World Series semifinals and was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 11th round in 2025.The camp will focus on pitching, baserunning, hitting, and both infield and outfield work. Proceeds will benefit charities including Toys for Tots.Thomas Jr. said, “We’ve always kind of wanted to give back to the community, you know, especially for me, I’m not from Savannah, so when I came to school here, everything that everybody did for me, I’ve always kind of wanted to get back to show my appreciation. So when Carter asked me, I jumped on it right away.”Holton added, “We both played, and we’re very dedicated to the game at a very young age and lived that through to now. So I think just being able to talk to them and give some helping words and answer any questions that they have, I think they can do the same thing. They can be in our shoes here in 5 or 6 years.”Both players say they’re excited to return to their alma mater and give back to the community that helped launch their careers.Players can register for the camp here.
