The Seattle Mariners have been racking up player of the week and player of the month awards at the big league level. Now they’re rolling in for the minor leaguers as well.

Not just one or two, but three Mariners minor league outfielders earned player of the week honors for April 28-May 4 in their respective leagues. Dominic Canzone won it with the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers in the Pacific Coast League, Victor Labrada with the Double-A Arkansas Travelers in the Texas League, and Lazaro Montes with the High-A Everett AquaSox in the Northwest League.

Canzone’s big week came right as he returned from the injured list Tuesday. In five games, he hit .368 (7 for 19) with a .400 on-base percentage, four home runs, six RBIs and six runs scored. His efforts included a two-homer game Sunday against Las Vegas.
In 15 games with Tacoma this season, the 27-year-old Canzone is batting .296 with a 1.012 OPS, two doubles, six home runs and eight RBIs. He made two appearances with the M’s in April, going 0 for 3 at the plate.

Labrada, 25, had multiple hits in five of six games during the week and hit an eye-popping .524 (11 for 21) with a .630 OBP, two home runs, nine RBIs, seven runs scored, five walks and four stolen bases.
In 26 games with Arkansas, Labrada is hitting .279 with an .899 OPS, seven doubles, one triple, three home runs, 13 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. He leads the Texas League in stolen bases and is third in doubles.
Montes, a 20 year old ranked as the M’s No. 2 prospect by MLB Pipeline, continued what’s been a strong showing in Everett after being named the organization’s co-hitter of the month in the minors for April. In six games last week, he batted .381 (8 for 21) with a .500 OBP, two home runs, four RBIs, five runs scored and five walks.
In 27 games with Everett this season, Montes is hitting .278 with a 1.047 OPS, five doubles, four triples, seven home runs and 18 RBIs. He leads the Northwest League in extra-base hits, home runs and OPS. Montes was also the Northwest League Player of the Week for March 31-April 6.
