ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) — The Tampa Bay Rays are making progress on repairs to Tropicana Field, showing photos of a new, stronger, and more resilient roof being installed.
The stadium is undergoing repairs to the roof and inside the field, including installing all-new turf.

Tropicana Field repairs will cost $55M, could be completed by 2026
The work stems from damage caused by Hurricane Milton in October 2024, when the storm ripped apart and shredded the original roof.
The repairs are expected to be finished in time for the Tampa Bay Rays home games at the stadium on April 6, 2025. Total costs are estimated to be around $60 million.
