The Los Angeles Dodgers made a huge decision ahead of the 2026 season, choosing to non-tender veteran reliever Evan Phillips and minor-league reliever Nick Frasso.

Phillips underwent Tommy John surgery in May and will likely miss most of the 2026 season.

In other news, Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman took on a new role, but not with the Dodgers. The executive took on an advisory role with the Los Angeles Lakers, which are owned by Dodgers owner Mark Walter.

Finally, the Dodgers have plenty of needs to meet in the offseason, and ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez believes they could part with a top prospect in the offseason to reinforce their depth.

Gonzalez listed minor league outfielders Josue De Paula, Eduardo Quintero, Zhyir Hope and Mike Sirota as trade candidates.
