As the Los Angeles Angels move forward with the offseason, the team has a lot of work to do regarding the roster. With new manager Kurt Suzuki in the mix, Los Angeles has a timeline to find more success on the field.
It has been a decade since the Halos reached the postseason, but the team is determined to end the drought in 2026. Los Angeles still has some quality pieces on the roster, but they will need to add talent to the mix to get over the hump.
One option for the Angels this winter could be to pursue a power bat for the lineup. Luckily for Los Angeles, there are multiple players for them to consider, and it could see this team bring some talent into the mix.
The Angeles haven’t been shy about spending money in free agency over the years, and it’s about time that they build back toward real contention. With the roster needing help in many different areas, we could see the Angels be very aggressive to add this offseason.
However, it remains to be seen how this will look, and the Angels will need to spend in a smart way, rather than just throwing a bag at a shiny player, like they’ve done in the past. It’s a critical winter for this team, especially given he success that the rival Los Angeles Dodgers have seen with Shohei Ohtani.
This is just a prediction, NOT a report!

Eugenio Suarez Lands With Los Angeles Angels
As the Angels search for more help, one option could be to shore up the third base position. Since the Halos can’t count on Anthony Rendon anymore, the team may want to bring in someone else to play the role.
One name that could work is veteran Eugenio Suaraz, who just put together a very solid year in 2025. Suarez split time between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Seattle Mariners, and he was one of the best sluggers in the game.
Overall, Suarez hit .228 with 49 home runs and 118 runs batted in for the season between the two clubs. Much of his production did come in the early parts of the year, but the veteran was still one of the more feared batters in the league.
Suarez could help shore up the third base position for the Angels, even just for a few years. The veteran will be turning 35 during the season next year, but he has game-changing power that can transform a lineup.
Like any free agent signing, there is risk with Suarez, mainly because he does strike out a ton. But his power ability also helps to negate this fact, and the Angels could be willing to take the gamble.
His defense is still very playable, and he could provide this team with more leadership for the future. If anything, this could be a way for the Angels to place themselves into contention starting next season, and the front office should look closely into it.
