Dodgers Ohtani and Yankees Judge recipients of MLB MVP awards

Baseball’s MVPs have been decided. Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani wins the National League award, while Yankees’ Aaron Judge takes home the title again for the American League.

A new MLB broadcast deal gives ESPN the ability to stream Diamondbacks games. For the 2026 season, Diamondbacks games will continue to be broadcast through MLB.

The new broadcast deal Major League Baseball reached this week gives ESPN the ability to put Diamondbacks games on its streaming platform. But, at least for 2026, the agreement will not have an impact on how Diamondbacks games are broadcast, according to a league source.

Diamondbacks games will continue to be produced and distributed through MLB and its streaming product, MLB.tv, just as they have been for the past two-plus seasons. The games also will be available on various carriers, such as Cox.

The new agreement gives ESPN the ability to make Diamondbacks games — as well as those of five other MLB teams — available through their app, as well, likely at an additional, bundled cost. It is not, however, expected to be available at the start of the 2026 season.

Once available on the ESPN app, the MLB.tv subscribers will not have to change to that platform. ESPN’s service will be a new, additional way to watch the games.

As for beyond 2026, it is unclear whether the status quo will remain in place or if games will move exclusively to ESPN.
