KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Looking to enhance the future of the fan experience, the Kansas City Royals will be sending out surveys to fans to shape the club’s future on and off the field.

After a lackluster season in 2025, the Royals announced that starting on Nov. 3, 2025, they will be asking fans for feedback on the team, game day experience, television broadcasts and the teams next home.

This new effort from the Royals is apart of an ongoing conversation with fans aimed at optimizing their experiences in and out of the ballpark.

Over the last 25 years, the Kansas City Royals have had six winning seasons including finishing 82-80 in 2025. While expectations were high after reaching the postseason in 2024, the Royals finished third behind the Cleveland Guardians and Detroit Tigers, missing the playoffs.

“We weren’t better from a wins and losses standpoint, so you know that’s what we’re judged on ultimately, and so no, I would say we took a step back,” said Manager, Matt Quatraro.

Looking to regain success in the near future, the surveys sent to fans will help shape the Royals future on and off the field.

One of the items fans will be able to give their insights on is potential sites for a new ballpark. The survey includes development options for Downtown/Near Downtown, Clay County/North Kansas City and Johnson County/Overland Park.

Jackson County Executive, Phil LeVota says he has been in talks with the Royals, as he hopes to keep the team in Missouri.

“I can report to you that I’ve already started conversations, I can tell you that I’m positive,” said LeVota. “The teams can still be in Jackson County.  As of today, we now have all the pieces of an amazing partnership to move forward on discussing stadium issues with a dynamic team.”

North Kansas City officials say they also have been in talks with the team.

For fans who opt-in to the surveys, Royals Chairman/CEO John Sherman says the feed back will be a crucial part of how the Royals present themselves in the future.

“We are constantly engaging with and listening to our fans,” said Sherman. “Their feedback is a crucial part of how we present our games in person or through television and other media. Their voices will also play an important and meaningful role as we determine where we play games for the next 50 years. We’re grateful for their support and help.”
