The Texas Rangers have officially traded Marcus Semien to the New York Mets for Brandon Nimmo and cash considerations, the team announced this morning.
And with that, the deal is done.
The Rangers currently have 34 players on the 40 man roster after this move, with a few guys who could end up on the waiver wire, so there’s plenty of room for the team to go get the catcher they need and the half-dozen pitchers or so who will be needed to round out the pitching staff.
There’s a long ways still to go in the offseason. Let’s see what Chris Young & Company end up doing after this.
