
(WJHL) – After opening the 2025 season in Triple-A Round Rock, Elizabethton native Evan Carter is expected to return to the Texas Rangers as soon as Tuesday.
Rangers General Manager Chris Young confirmed the expected move, according to multiple reports.

Carter is batting .221 with nine RBI and six stolen bases so far in the minor leagues this spring. However, all seven of his extra-base hits have come since April 10.
Texas travels to Boston for a three-game series beginning on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 6:45 p.m.
