Sonny Gray is headed back to the American League.
The Boston Red Sox confirmed the addition of the veteran righty on Tuesday. Going the other way are pitchers Brandon Clarke and Richard Fitts.
Gray, 36, is headed into the final year of a three-year, $75 million deal. The contract has a $30 million club option for 2027.
A native of Smyrna, TN, Gray appeared in 32 games in 2025, posting a record of 14-8 with an earned run average of 4.28 and 1.234 WHIP over 180.2 innings of work.
A three-time All-Star, Gray will play in his 14th big league season in 2026. He has also previously suited up for the Minnesota Twins, Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics.
Gray needed to waive his no-trade clause to facilitate the move.
