The Detroit Tigers came within one game of reaching the American League Championship Series, falling in an epic 15-inning final game. Detroit has the tools to win the World Series this year, but they fell short of the ultimate goal.
As they enter the offseason, the Tigers have been subject to trade rumors across the roster. This team seemingly wants to win next season as they try to take advantage of the core group in place.
Detroit could use another bat, as well as another pitcher for the starting rotation. Luckily for them, they have both free agency and the trade route that they can go down.
But how Detroit adds to the overall roster remains to be seen, and it will be up to the front office to put this squad in the best position to succeed. Many teams only get a few years as a winning window, so the Tigers will need to maximize the opportunity in front of them heading into next season.

Detroit Tigers Trade For Jarren Duran
As the Tigers look for different ways to improve the roster, one idea could be to trade for a potential up-and-coming star outfielder. That would be Jarren Duran of the Boston Red Sox, who has been in trade rumors for a few months now.
Duran could be a massive addition to the Tigers’ roster, and it could help them get over the hump this season. Many may speculate that the team could look to land him in a deal from Boston in exchange for ace Tarik Skubal, but ot seems that Detroit may want another shot at going after a World Series.
Putting the outfielder into the Tigers lineup would heavily increase those chances, and he could bring some real pop to the team. Duran is as strong a hitter as anyone in the game, and he seems to be really rounding into form.
Last season with Boston, the outfielder hit .256 with 16 home runs and 84 runs batted in over 157 games played. Duran is a strong defender as well, while also being able to steal bases to help the team.
However, since Duran is under team control for two more seasons, he isn’t going to come cheap for the Tigers to land him. But the price could be worth it for Detroit to get stronger in almost all areas across the roster.
Boston has dangled Duran in trade talks going back to the deadline last year, and they almost ended up moving him. If he is available once again, which is the thought from most around baseball, the Tigers should do everything in their power to get a deal done.
