BALTIMORE –

Ryan Helsley is on the move again.

Multiple outlets are reporting that Tahlequah native Ryan Helsely has agreed on a two-year contract with $28 million with the Baltimore Orioles. The deal features an opt-out after the 2026 season, and has not been announced by the club and is pending a physical.

Helsley is the second bullpen addition for Baltimore this offseason.

The 31-year-old former Northeastern State RiverHawk is a two-time All-Star who has pitched for the Cardinals (2019-25) and the Mets (‘25). He’s recorded 105 saves in 297 career appearances.

Helsley had a 3.00 ERA and 21 saves in 36 outing for the Cardinals last season, before being traded to the Mets on July 30th. In 22 games as a setup man in New York, he recorded a 7.20 ERA. He did finish the season with seven scoreless innings over his final six appearances.

In 2024, Helsley won the 2024 Trevor Hoffman National League Reliever of the Year Award, recording a 2.04 ERA and 49 saves in 65 appearances with the St. Louis Cardinals.
