Veteran outfielder Kyle Tucker remains the biggest fish on the open market of MLB free agency this winter, and there seems to be a lot of rumors around him. Tucker is easily the best player available, and he could be in line to land a 10-year type of deal, which could take some teams out of the bidding.

When contracts get to be this large, there are only a handful of teams that will seriously pursue talent, even like Tucker. Tucker is an All-Star-level guy who could fit in perfectly with any team across the league, making him an invaluable option.

The outfielder just completed his lone season with the Chicago Cubs, but the Cubs aren’t expected to retain him in free agency. Tucker was traded to Chicago last offseason, and many saw this as a chance for the team to convince the All-Star to stay long-term.

However, it has been rumored that the Cubs may not want to pay what it will take to keep him in town. For the year, Tucker hit .266 with 22 home runs and 73 runs batted in, appearing in 136 games for Chicago.

In addition, Tucker stole 25 bases this past season, marking the third time in four years that he had at least hit that number. The outfielder dealt with some injuries over the course of the season, but when healthy, he showed that he was still able to produce at a high level for the team.

This is just a prediction, NOT a report!

Kyle Tucker Signs With Los Angeles Angels

As always, there could be a surprise team that lands in the mix for a player like Tucker. This offseason, that surprise team could be the Los Angeles Angels, who are in desperate need of making some type of positive move for the roster.

It has been a decade since the Angels made the postseason, and this team is looking to finally build itself up. Owner Arte Moreno has been prone to making rash decisions in the past, and he isn’t ever shy about handing out large contracts to star players.

Tucker could be the perfect fit for this team, and he could be the player to help them turn things around. Due to the well-roundedness of his overall game, Tucker could help the Angels in multiple areas across the field.

Los Angeles could be an attractive landing spot for Tucker due to the location, as well as the type of money that he will command. The Angels may be one of the only teams willing to break the bank open, making them a potential landing spot for some stars.

After seeing the success that their rival Los Angeles Dodgers, have had over the last few years, the Angels may be forced to make a move like this. But Tucker could become the new face of this team, pairing up with Mike Trout to turn this franchise around.
