As the Minnesota Twins continue with their offseason, many around baseball are wondering if the front office will continue with the fire sale across the roster. Minnesota made multiple moves at the trade deadline this past season, sending off many veteran players for future assets.

The team still has a few quality guys left on the roster, and we could see the Twins decide to part ways this offseason. One of the bigger trade chips that Minnesota has is All-Star outfielder Byron Buxton, who has been subject to trade rumors for a few years now.

Buxton holds a no-trade clause and has pushed back on any trade form in recent seasons. But there are now reports coming out that he could elect to waive the clause if he were to be moved to a certain few teams.

The veteran wants to win, and with the Twins likely entering a full rebuild, it seems like he could be on his way out. Both Minnesota and Buxton pair well together, but it could be in the best interest of each to part ways this offseason.

Buxton is coming off a career season, playing in 126 games for the Twins over the course of the year. During this time, the veteran hit .264 with 35 home runs and 83 runs batted in.

The All-Star is still a decent enough center fielder, even with his numbers starting to decline just a little bit. However, he can still make a big impact on any team that would trade for him, helping to round out a roster entirely.

Minnesota would hold a large asking price to move Buxton, especially considering how valuable he has been for the franchise. But whether Buxton actually gets moved remains one of the larger questions around the league right now.

This is just a prediction, NOT a report!

Atlanta Braves Will Trade For Byron Buxton

One team that could look to make a run at Buxton this offseason is the Atlanta Braves. Atlanta is coming off a season that saw it miss the playoffs entirely, and this could mean the team making some drastic moves this winter.

Adding Buxton to the roster could be a smart play for the Braves, and it would give them another strong bat for the lineup. If Buxton is able to stay healthy, he could be a real steal and could potentially help Atlanta get back to competing for a World Series title.

The Braves could use some new energy in the mix, and they would likely be a team for Buxton would waive his no-trade clause for. Buxton would help shore up the outfield for the team, putting him next to All-Star Ronald Acuna Jr. across the board.

Overall, the Braves have the tools to get a trade done, and they have been linked to the veteran already this winter. This could be the perfect move for Atlanta to make, and it could be one to push them over the top in the National League postseason picture.
