The Guardians have long been operating with an eye on both today and tomorrow.

A multi-faceted system of goals based on contending now while also setting up the next few seasons in an effort to keep their contention window open as long as possible.

They’ve averaged 90 wins in Stephen Vogt‘s two seasons as manager, though their last trip to the World Series was in 2016, and it came without accomplishing the ultimate goal.

That search for consistency lends itself to a winning major league club with a healthy farm system at the same time, which isn’t an easy balance to strike.

As the Guardians look to contend back-to-back division titles in 2026, here’s a look at their top prospects entering the offseason, according to MLB Pipeline.

Travis Bazzana, 2B

The No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 draft, Travis Bazzana has watched several others taken in the top 10 already make the jump to the major leagues, while his 2025 season was slowed by injuries, namely an oblique strain.

There’s a chance, with a tremendous spring, he could break camp on the Opening Day roster, but the most likely scenario is that Bazzana makes MLB debut sometime in June, if all goes well. The Guardians can begin the season with Gabriel Arias and Brayan Rocchio up the middle and adjust as needed when Bazzana gets the call to the majors.

Chase DeLauter, OF

Chase DeLauter made his MLB debut during the Wild Card Series, meaning he’ll have another round of debut “firsts” as he notches off the official milestones again, now during the regular season. The oft-injured outfielder has a wealth of potential and could be a major part of the 2026 lineup in Cleveland if he can just stay on the field.

Angel Genao, INF

Yet another talented infielder in a long line of Guardians prospects over recent years, Genao was added to the 40-man roster in order to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft.

Genao is a switch-hitter with good bat-to-ball skills and some speed, a solid profile for promotion despite Cleveland’s logjam at those positions. He’s on the 40-man roster, though he’s still only 21 years old.

Cooper Ingle, C

The Guardians have been giving Bo Naylor plenty of runway to develop, and they have excellent depth for 2026 with Austin Hedges re-signed to a one-year deal and David Fry further removed from Tommy John surgery.

But meanwhile, Cooper Ingle has been making his push up the minor league ladder and is knocking on the door. He could have a chance to add to the Guardians’ long-term catching situation soon.

Jasion Chourio, OF

The younger brother of Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson, Jaison Chourio is likely years away from this own MLB debut, but he’s leapt up prospect rankings leaderboards as a switch-hitter with some pop and plus speed.

Here’s the rest of the Guardians’ top 30.
