Left-hander Anthony Kay and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a two-year, $12 million contract, sources tell ESPN. @ByRobertMurray was on the agreement.

Kay owns a career 5.59 ERA and 1.60 WHIP across 85.1 innings pitched between the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs and New York Mets. He last appeared in the big leagues in 2023 before spending the past two seasons in the Japan Central League, where he posted an impressive 1.74 ERA and 0.98 WHIP across 155 innings. He’s expected to open the 2026 season in Chicago’s rotation.
